Why a Kids Fitness Program!
16% of American children are obese. 55% do not meet the minimum requirement for physical activity. Obese or overweight children are more likely to become obese adults; resulting in numerous health & psychological issues.
Objective; with childhood obesity rates steadily on the rise, our main focus is to get these children moving. The advancements in modern technology seem to have paralyzed kids’ instincts for good old-fashioned play and stress release through movement. Our Kids Program is aimed at teaching our children that “Fitness can be Fun.”
We want to get kids on the right track, early. We want to show kids that fitness is FUN and should be a part of daily life. It is important to teach our kids how to be active in a world where it is so easy and convenient to be inactive.
About the Program; Our Kids classes uses a combination of skill practice, workouts and games to help condition our children, both physically and mentally. Our classes include elements of gymnastics, weight lifting, body weight movements, running, jump roping, and more. Children learn about basic nutrition and making overall healthier food choices. Our Kids classes are not just a fitness program. Children become more confident individuals through the community support and positive recognition they receive during every class. They learn to motivate others, and share in the celebration when someone gets their very first pull-up. Hmmmm sound familiar? Yes, the same positive environment that we adults WOD in every day.
Ages; Mighty Midgets; children ages 4-6
Team Extreme; children ages 7-10
*** Preteen /Teen Class may be added in the near future***
--Mighty Midgets on Tuesdays/Thursdays 5:30-5:55 p.m.

Expectations; Children are expected to arrive on time and be suitably dressed to run, jump, play, and even get upside down. Athletic shoes and proper workout clothes based on the outside temperature work best.
***Parents are to remain on premises during your child’s class. If you choose to complete your WOD next door, during your child’s class time, that is perfectly fine. However, we do ask that you bring your child something to do once they have completed their class, because your WOD may take a bit longer.
